2012 was the year of change and did it live up to it! Not only the obvious headline changes but also the personal challenges that translated into change for us were amazing and sometimes difficult. Winter Wilderness Coaching is chock full of self discovery for you in the New Year.

We are now leaving the 2012 Fall season which was the time for setting your intentions for 2013. These intentions will come be ready to harvest for you in the Fall of 2013, so if you have not been mindful of this please be sure to set them now! As we move into the Winter we convert from introspective thinking to full on hibernation mode just like many plants and animals in Nature. What does this mean for us? It is a time for quiet contemplation on life and business and an excellent time for reconnecting with the slow pace of Nature to ease you into 2013 the year of transformation. Winter is a powerful time for writing or journaling you

r thoughts, dreams and aspirations. Getting into Nature has a whole new feel to it compared to the Fall season and creates a feeling and thought process that brings a higher level of awareness and quietude which in turn reduces the self-imposed stress we put ourselves under in our day-to-day lives.

Remember we are a product of Nature and its actions. The energy of life is linkage, everything is linked, and nothing is self-sufficient. If we develop an awareness of what is happening each season we are better able to adapt to that beautifully perfect balance that Nature models oh so well.

Winter is a beautiful time of year and I encourage you to get out into it and feel the power of the season. I will be offering some Winter excursions (no charge) for those who may want to experience the season with us first hand. It is truly amazing in its silence and beauty here in the backcountry of Oregon. Stay tuned to my FB page and this blog for upcoming dates.

I am very much looking forward to 2013! In April I will be co-presenting a 4-5 day retreat with my friend and highly respected Shaman, Rebecca Singer, location and dates to be announced. This will be limited to 12 people and will take place in Oregon. It will be focused on discovering your true Nature and bringing more balance into your busy everyday lives through tapping into the energy of wilderness and the human connection through experiential skills, meditation, teaching from Shamanic roots and conversations around the circle. This has the potential to be a life changing event! Follow our event page Elemental Adventures

UPDATE:
I was to leave for Mexico to climb Pico de Orizaba on December 29th. My climb partner had a business issue that came up so we rescheduled for January 16th. Keep an eye here and on my YouTube Channel  and FaceBook  for daily updates on our progress to summit the third highest peak in North America.

In the meantime keep on the path to Discover Your True Nature,
